Wooton's Patent Cabinet Office Secretary - 'With this Desk one absolutely has no excuse for slovenly habits,' as an 1884 advertisement proclaimed.
General scuffs, marks and areas of fading, consistent with use. Some minor shri9nkage splits along some of the mouldings along the curved doors. Doors have dropped slightly on the hinges resulting in the doors tricky to open and close correctly and scuffing along the extended foot. A section of moulding missing at the front of the left hand door just by the side pilaster. A door plate/escutcheon missing from the front right hand door. Overall average condition.
