Oil on canvas relined 20 - 30 years ago or more, original canvas now coming away from the backing which can clearly be seen at each side as well as across the top, paint also looks a little dirty with a number of small scattered fine spots and scratches, more notably a very small L shaped tear showing towards the top right mountains, signed and appears to be dated 1879? in the lower right corner, in a slim gilt wood mount, no labels or inscriptions verso.
