Oil on canvas relined in the past 15 - 20 years, canvas still tight but painting drying out, a fine craquelure running through much of the paint work, some sign of retouching to the right of the sitters left elbow where a little paint is also starting to lift, further flaking in the browns above the dogs and to the left of the dogs, otherwise paint looks a little dirty, apparently unsigned, in a fairly modern gilt frame which is in good order, no inscriptions verso.
