The owner, who is a bit of a Vulliamy buff, has established that the case originally held another Vulliamy movement and is probably by Page or John Weekes.
Ormolu work is mostly very bright but a little discoloured in places (notably the finial). Drum of the case is slightly tilted to the right and a little wobbly.
Marble stained and discoloured with numerous small nibbles/chips at the edges.
Movement overhangs out of the back of the case. The ormolu scroll mount between the drum and the marble has been painted black at the back.
Key and pendulum are later associated examples.
