Two Coalport cache pots and a stand, c.1800-10, the larger example with stand with gilt animal mask handles, painted to a reserve with a cottage in a landscape, within marbled and gilt and pale salmon pink borders, inscribed iron red no. 19, the stand with three paw feet, 14cm, the smaller cache pot of tapering cylindrical form, painted en grisaille to the upper band with figures in a continuous landscape, moulded ring handles, above a panelled foliate gilt band, inscribed gilt no. 786, 9cm, larger pot with some restoration

The larger cache pot
13mm restored patch along the lip of the foot rim. 3 larger chips and various chipping to the edge of the foot rim. There is a 14mm forked hairline crack originating from the hole to the centre of the base . There is an 11mm firing imperfection on the inside edge of the foot rim, and firing imperfections along the outside edge of the foot rim. Occasional minor firing imperfections to the rest of the pot. Heavy wear to the gilding on the animal mask handles, the rim and the gilded lip of the foot rim. Some occasional scratching to the enamels and gilding and some typical light black speckling to the foot.
The stand
4mm shallow chip along the outside edge of the stand, shallow splinter chipping along the inside edge of the stand. Heavy wear to the gilding, and heavy wear to the brown enamel on the three paw feet. Surface scratching, most visible on the gilding and the enamelling, and typical minor firing imperfections, most visible on the underside of the stand.
The smaller pot
Black and brown speckling along the edge of the foot. Wear to the gilding particularly along the rim, and to the handles and to some of the sinuous branches. Occasional surface scratches, most visible on the grisaille enamels and the gilding.
