A late 19th/early 20th century Chinese pierced silver butter dish and cover, of quatrefoil shape, decorated with dragons and prunus, with cow finial and blue glass liner, on faux bamboo feet, maker WL?, 4.5in.

There is a small repair to the rim of the lid in the form of silver solder. There are one or two minor splits within the decoration in the panels on the base. There is also a small solder repair to the side of the base within one of the angles. There are two indentations to the surface of the silver on the underside of the base. Marks clear.
