A 17th century Spanish walnut vargueno, with gilt metal and red velvet mounts, the fall front opening to reveal an arrangement of gilded drawers, with floral polychrome panels mounted with carved bone columns, the gilt base fitted two drawers above two cupboard doors with lozenge fronts, oval pierced brass and velvet escutcheons and inset with polychrome floral panels throughout, W.3ft 9in. H.4ft 10.5in.

Evidence of old worm in places, small area missing from right side of top section, later block feet as expected. Left corner missing off base section, other minor repairs.
