A Chinese famille rose brush rest and a similar miniature incense burner and cover, mid 19th century, both painted with figures, objects and flowers, the rectangular brush rest with three grooves to each end, with blue enamelled scrollwork base, 8.6cm, the square censer and cover with circular pierced top and separate stand with four shaped feet and apron, 4.8cm high

The rectangular brush rest has some slight wear to the gilding, occasional small flakes to the blue enamel borders and a tiny firing crack to the inward facing side of the fretwork border of one side of the fretwork border, the square censer and cover has some small chips to the inner square liner of the base section, otherwise good.
