These lengthy and detailed letters are one of the surprises of the archive, revealing as it does, one of the most unexpected relationships of Ron Kray's life. For Monica was the wife of Bobby Buckley, ex-jockey, member of the Kray's 'Firm' and the love of Ron's life. When Monica later discovered the truth of Ron and Bob's relationship she broke all contact with Ron. She and Bob both died shortly after from a drugs overdose.
