Daisy Makeig-Jones for Wedgwood- 'Fairy Gondola'. A flame fairyland lustre chalice bowl, c.1924, the exterior decorated with the 'Twyford Garlands' pattern on a flame orange lustre and black ground, painted patterned number Z5360, Wedgwood mark ground off, diameter 27cm, height 15.5cm
Basically in good condition with a good ring to the bowl, no restoration, chips or cracks, very slight wear to the gilding on the very interior and the base of the stem, the Wedgwood mark underneath is not present but there is a scratched X to the glaze underneath the base where it may have been removed, there is however a Z number underneath, looking at the piece there is no indication that this is a factory second because the condition is good and there are no obvious faults.
