An early 18th century black Japanned and gilt decorated chest of drawers, decorated with Chinese figures on horseback in Chinese landscapes with diaper borders, two short and three long graduated drawers on turned bun feet, minor damage consistent with age width 3ft 5.5ins, height 2ft 10ins, depth 1ft 9.5ins

Light wear from age and notably light scuffing to top of chest and some rubbing to upper extremity of raised giltwork. wear and rubbing around edges of top moulding and across front and corners. Escutcheons and locks look to be original. Interior of drawers has a dark, reddish brown gilt speckled finish. Handles possibly later replacements but look appropriate period examples. Some scuffing and scratching to the sides. Bun feet probably later replacements.
