Oil on Roberson & Co wooden panel, in honest original untouched condition, paint overall has a slightly dull look and may well benefit from a clean, majority of the work has been painted in an almost a quantilist style akin to that of a miniature painter, in the black background areas broader strokes have been used and there is some fine but stable craquelure running through the dark backing areas, otherwise good condition, no sign of any damage or retouching, signed and dated lower right, housed in the original gilt gesso oak leaf moulded frame which is a little dull in finish and has some old cracks running through it, artists original label verso with the inscribed poem along with the artists address.
